Sorry but i find this slightly funny lol.

Anyone else had some ridiculous Transfer money requests, asking prices etc. ?

I don't think they want to sell him, but every player has a price. Maybe if your team is rich they might ask for more money, like teams would with chelsea.

The annoying thing is i only have a transfer budget of 80 million lol. Well i use the term "only" loosely of course lol.

Oh well, theres many more equally good centre mids im sure i can tempt to the bridge for a hell of a lot less than 180mil lol.

They do, and it's funny when teams are prepared to meet them - Xavi Alonso went to Milan for £36m, he's ok but nothing amazing. Needless to say Milan have gone down the crapper now.

It's true that instances like this are pretty daft and it's something I reckon SI will look at.

The problem is though, would people mind if major, wealthy clubs were simply able to say out of hand that they will not sell their most valuable assets, whatever the price.

This would surely be a step towards realism. I'm sure wealthy real-life clubs such as Arsenal and Man Utd would be willing to let go of their Fabregas's and Ronaldo's for any amount of money, within reason.

Their is an argument, however, that such realism would detract from the 'game' aspect of FM. People generally like spending big money to bring their favourite players to their clubs. The total non-ability to buy the likes of Fabregas whatsoever would probably annoy more people than it wold please.

Cant understand what the extra £300k is for though

When I wanted to get Cech but Chelsea asked for £212,000,000. And that's what I find drustrating about the game. I love it and can't stop play but it frustrating the Transfer Market. You find it really hard selling players (and I have yet to sell a player. I've both 7 players and sold none. Their rotting in my reserve) and buying players is weird with clubs asking for ridiculous amounts.

Guys, arrange a friendly versus the player's team, and then praise their manager after the game. Praise him a second time if necessary, after a week has passed.

Then bid for the player, and usually their asking price will have dropped considerably.

Fantastic advice!

Ive been signing this tune for a while now...................the transfer fee's in this game are a farce and need sorting.

While I aghree that the transfer market is overly inflated, asking that much isnt that bad. Its not as if anyone agreed to it. They are basically just saying that they don't want to sell.
