What's the difference between 'Work Rate' and 'Stamina'..??

Recommended Posts

As the title says really....

Can anyone elaborate on this?

Work Rate is how much a player is bothered about matches, how much running he'll do, how much effort he'll expend.

Stamina is how quickly he gets tired during a match.

Linked to these is Natural Fitness which is how quickly they recover from matches.

Work Rate - How much they chase the player/ball in defence or how much effort they put in to finding space when attacking.

Stamina - The higher the stamina the longer they can put effort in for.

High workrate/low stamina means they will tire quickly and struggle to complete games

Low workrate/high stamina means they are lazy.

Work Rate is how committed a player is to closing people down, running, effort etc. Carlos Tevez for example never gives a cause up, high work rate, Wayne Rooney is another whereas Adebayor on a bad day has an abysmal work rate.

Stamina is how long they can keep playing at their optimum for, e.g Lampard, Gerrard, have high stamina.
