Points deducted

Just seen in season 3 Charlton bottom of Champinship had 10 points detucted, i assume this is for beeing bankrupt!!

has any one seen this happen very oftern?

If you go into administration, you get docked points, happens quite often.

In my last game Man City lost the title after going into admin and getting docked 9 points (around 2025). Man Utd got relegated the same way, as did Barcelona. That save is complete nonsense to be fair.

I managed to drag my Reading team into Admin recently, got slapped with a 9 point deduction aswell as £21million CVA Loan.

But it teaches me right for being silly.

But yeah i do see it often enough on my save.

I saw Man Utd go into admin on a friend's save once. Cost them the title on goal difference (Was around 2030) Following season, they were relegated

The only time i've seen it happen was to Bolton in the championship, but all it did was move them from upper mid-table to lower mid-table so it had little affect.

I've seen it happen to Liverpool two years running. They were relegated after selling off all their best players. Two season later they came back up and now are doing well under Steve Gerrard's leadership. They still don't have many class players though.

I haven't used FMRTE, it has just happened. Good though coz I qualified for Europe when they lost nine points the first time!!

I have seen it happen to Liverpool

I saw it happen to West Ham on either 08 or 09. They got relegated from the PL and were just outside the playoffs in the Championship when they got the deduction. It dropped them from 7th to about 15th

I've seen Liverpool docked points for going into Administration. Then arranging a CVA after having their debts cleared and paying back something daft like £300k a month

Seems my saves are all cursed with boringness. I've played a number of games over 4 or 5 seasons, playing one to the year 2021 right now, and I've never seen a major club go into administration.

Happens to Championship clubs every now and again though.

I've seen lots of people mentioning it happening to clubs in game, but I've never have it happen to anyone in my leagues so far.

If it happens that regularly for Premiership clubs for people, surely something with the finances could probably be tweaked.

Ive noticed it never happens early on in a save, not in the premiership anyway (or maybe ive been unlucky). A few seasons in and you start to see a few happen though. I have never seen a team relegated becasue of it though.

Yep seen it a few times on my recent save. The most interesting was Liverpool being docked 9p late in the 2015/16 season. It pretty much ment they lost 4th spot but managed to reach 6th and got into the UEFA Cup, which might have been a saviour for them. Not really sure how they would have faired finacially if they ended up 10th (as they were at one point). A few sides in the Championship and League1 have gone into administration previously.

I'm hoping that Arsenal goes into administration on my save, gets relegated a couple of divisions. and I can come in and save the day!

On my 07 save half the PL went into administration at once. In the end Pool Man U and Derby went down and the entire bottom half had points deducted. Needless to say i stormed the title that year.

Several years on and Pool are challenging for Europe and i notice that none of their players are on more than 60K pw. I think the crazy wages bankrupt the teams and if you stay below £70-80K pw per player (top players only!) you will do well financially.

I ahve noticed that Arsenal have about 6-7 players between 100k - 125k pw. They will go soon which is good as they have won 10 leagues on the trot - swines!

in my first season, which i just finished, that exact same thing happened to Charlton. Cant even steal any of their players cos their all pap!

In my save Everton had points deducted but they did not get relegated. Charlton is in receivership for 2-3 years now and they are also struggling in Coca-Cola League 2.

On quite a few of my games Derby go into admin during the second season at some point, being a Leicester fan it's great to see.

CHarlton has been into administration three years in a row now in my save. They are still sitting on CHampionship, after three consecutive 19th place O_o

But as a Derby fan not great to see.

Charlton in season 2, now a mid table League 1 side (season 5) and York in the last season which saw them relegated to BSN. Liverpool are slowly dropping down the "Financial Status" list to around 70th. No-one else though.

I've seen it happen many times, most recently to Chelmsford City in 2024/5 League Two. They were top at the time.
