Peter G
When a player is performing under-par and you tell the media, has anyone had any success with this? If so could you tell me what are the best steps to take for this. I signed Kikin Fonseca and he was doing poorly, 1 goal in 6. I told the media that his performances were below-par and dropped him for one game. I brought him back and changed his position to an AMC , running into attack against Auxerre and he scored the winning goal of the game. Does that show an effect or will he continue to strive to do his best?
TigerJoe
Telling the media about this can really lower his morale. Try telling the player that you expect a performance in team talks and critise him after the match if he hasn't played well. If nothing changes tell the media, he'll get upset but he should buck up his ideas.

Divide
I have had the odd instance where my striker has not scored in x number of hours. At which point i criticize them to the press. They have gone on to score or at least play a lot better in the following match.
phnompenhandy
It depends on his personality - hidden mental attributes. If the coach/scout tells you he's 'professional' it means he can take it on the chin and buck his ideas up. If he's unprofessional he'll throw his toys out of the pram.
