CD-ROM not reading the disk ?

Recommended Posts

I recently bought 'Football Manager 2009'. But i'm unable to play it, due to my CD-ROM not even regirstiring that there is a disk inside. I'm just curious as to how what is wrong with it and how i could make it play ?

By the way i have Football Manager 2008 installed, whick works fine.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Does your computer have a DVD drive? If it's just a CD drive, which it most likely is, then the disk can't be read. A way of getting around this is by downloading the game from steam and using the keycode on the back of your manual to activate.

Yeah if you only have a CD drive then you cannot run the game. You need to download it via Steam and then activate it with the code on the back of your manual:

You can download the game in Steam without using the disc using the game code you have from your purchased game.

Download Steam from here - http://store.steampowered.com/about/

Install Steam on your computer

Once installed, open up Steam

Go to My Games

Go to Activate a product on Steam

Enter your Activation Code found on the back of the manual. (Use http://keylookup.fm2009.softanchorinsight.com/ to see you got all the 0's and o's right)

Steam should now download your game.

Let me know how you get on. Thanks.
