himan
Because there were some positive reactions, here it is, The Small Nations Challenge: what does it mean. You will get as many time as you want to play with a small nation, to play in Big tournaments. You can play with every FIFA-nation which is playable (you can choose nations as Guadeloupe or French Guyana in FM, but they are not reccomended by the FIFA, so you never can reach the World Cup With them). Some other rules: Time is not a factor. If you want play until 2444, your game may slow down a bit, but whatever. You can show your results as if you like. I reccomend one qualification, one tounament or one year at a time. If you want you can play with a club too, so a combination San Marino, San Marino Calcio is possible, as is Tromsø with Afghanistan. It can make this challenge easier... Don't Cheat! Now the explenation of that stupid long thing under this with examples it's actually really easy. You can calculate the number of points you get with this one: (Best Worldcup Points+Best Continental Points+Best Confederations Cup Points)x Factor some examples: I played with Equatorial Guinea and never reached any Cup before I got Sacked): (0+0+0)x200=0 points I play with Greece and then I reached the Semi Finals of Euro 2012, I already reached the second round of the world Cup, these are the points I get: (3+3+0)x1,5=7,5 that's not the jackpot I played with Niger and I finally got to the Africa Cup 2046 you get the jackpot now!!: (0+1+0)x300=300 I'm an absolute FM-master and I tried to do it with Guam I won the Asia Cup of 2020 and reached was 3rd in the Confederations Cup of 2021. I reached the Asia Cup already in 2016 and I was defeated in a group with Paraguay, Gabon and Bolivia in the world Cup of 2018, you get this amount of points: (2+2+2)x5000=30000 points! you can see it cost a lot of time to play with small nations, but at the end in this challenge you will get paid out(unless you got sacked like me with Equatorial Guinea:D) 1 Spain 1 2 Netherlands 1 3 Germany 1 4 Italy 1 5 Brazil 1 6 England 1 7 Argentina 1 8 Croatia 1 9 Russia 1 10 France 1 11 Portugal 1 12 Turkey 1 13 Paraguay 1,5 14 USA 1,5 15 Czech Republic 1,5 16 Switzerland 1,5 17 Greece 1,5 17 Uruguay 1,5 19 Ukraine 1,5 20 Serbia 1,5 21 Cameroon 1,5 22 Scotland 1,5 23 Bulgaria 1,5 24 Denmark 1,5 25 Israel 2 26 Mexico 2 27 Northern Ireland 2 28 Romania 2 29 Australia 2 30 Nigeria 2 31 Japan 2 31 Sweden 2 33 Bosnia-Herzegovina 3 34 Republic of Ireland 2 35 Honduras 3 36 Ghana 2 37 Chile 3 38 Côte d'Ivoire 2 39 Poland 3 40 Egypt 3 41 Costa Rica 3 42 Slovakia 3 43 Hungary 3 44 Ecuador 3 45 Colombia 3 46 Korea Republic 2 47 Norway 3 48 Gabon 5 49 Finland 3 50 Burkina Faso 5 51 Tunisia 5 52 Iran 5 53 Guinea 5 54 Mali 5 55 Marocco 5 56 Saudi Arabia 5 57 Venezuela 5 58 Bolivia 5 59 Latvia 10 60 Lithuania 5 61 Panama 10 62 Slovenia 10 63 Belgium 5 64 FYR Macedonia 10 65 Gambia 10 66 Algeria 10 67 Uganda 20 68 Togo 10 69 Libya 20 70 Bahrein 20 71 Austria 10 72 Trinidad&Tobago 10 73 South-Africa 10 74 Wales 10 75 Senegal 10 76 Jamica 20 77 Iraq 20 78 Uzbekistan 20 79 Cyprus 20 80 Oman 30 81 Belarus 20 82 New Zealand 20 83 Canada 20 84 Congo DR 20 85 Sierra Leone 30 86 Congo 30 87 Mozambique 30 88 Sudan 30 89 Peru 20 90 Zambia 30 91 Benin 30 92 Albania 30 93 Iceland 30 94 Qatar 30 95 Cape Verde Islands 30 96 Rwanda 50 97 Angola 50 98 China PR 30 99 Cuba 50 100 El Salvador 50 101 Zimbabwe 50 102 Kenya 50 103 Grenada 50 104 Syria 50 105 Georgia 50 106 Korea DPR 50 107 Moldova 50 108 Fiji 100 109 Tanzania 100 110 Montenegro 50 111 Malawi 100 112 Guatemala 100 113 Estonia 100 114 Antigua and Barbuda 100 115 Bermuda 100 116 Thailand 100 117 Kuwait 100 118 Bostswana 100 119 Ethiopia 100 120 Barbados 100 121 Luxemourg 200 122 United Arab Emirates 200 123 Suriname 200 124 Haiti 200 125 Equatorial Guinea 200 126 Jordan 200 127 Guyana 200 128 Namibia 200 129 Chad 300 130 Madagascar 200 131 Armenia 200 132 Kazakhstan 200 133 New Caledonia 300 134 Singapore 300 135 Vietnam 300 136 Liberia 300 137 Swaziland 500 138 Indonesia 200 139 Burundi 300 140 Azerbeidzjan 300 141 Vanuatu 500 142 Nicaragua 300 143 Hong Kong 300 144 Niger 300 145 Netherlands Antilles 300 146 Yemen 500 147 India 300 148 Tadjikistan 500 149 Maldives 500 150 Malta 500 151 St. Kitts and Nevis 500 152 Puerto Rico 500 153 St. Vincent and the Grenadines 500 154 Turmenistan 500 155 Myanmar 500 156 Liechtenstein 500 157 Lebanon 1000 158 Eritrea 1000 159 Malaysia 1000 160 Philippines 1000 161 Sri Lanka 1000 162 Kyrgyzstan 1000 163 Mauritania 1000 164 Lesotho 1000 165 Salomon Islands 1000 166 Faroe Islands 1000 167 Pakistan 1000 168 Somalia 1000 169 Cayman Islands 5000 170 Nepal 5000 171 Bangladesh 5000 172 Laos 5000 173 Chinese Taipei(Taiwan) 5000 174 Mauritius 5000 175 Palestine 5000 176 Mongolia 5000 177 Belize 5000 178 Samoa 5000 179 Cambodia 5000 180 Seychelles 5000 181 Bahamas 5000 182 Turks and Caicos Islands 5000 183 Brunei (Darussalam) 5000 184 Afghanistan 5000 185 Djibouti 5000 186 Dominican Republic 5000 187 Guinea-Bissau 5000 188 Guam 5000 189 St. Lucia 5000 190 Tahiti 5000 191 Tonga 5000 192 Bhutan 5000 193 British Virgin Islands 5000 194 Macau 5000 195 Aruba 5000 196 Andorra 1000 197 Dominica 5000 198 Timor-Leste 5000 199 Comoros 5000 200 US Virgin Islands 5000 201 Central African Republic 5000 202 San Marino 1000 203 Anguilla 5000 204 Montserrat 5000 205 American Samoa 5000 206 Cook Islands 5000 207 Papua New Guinea 5000 This is the same list as the FIFA list of june 2009, the factors are by first 12, 1 next 12 1,5 etc. with some expectations( and then I will make it like this: Worldcup win: 10 Worldcup 2nd: 9 World Cup 3rd: 8 World Cup 4th: 7 World Cup quarter Finals: 5 World Cup last 16: 3 Reaching World Cup: 2 Winning Confederations Cup: 5 2nd Confed. himan
Himan@Iceland... Factor=30! 2008: Friendly Iceland-Azerbeizjan 4-0, goals from: Eidur Gudjohnsen, Kári Árnason, Birkir Bjarnason, Veigar Páll Gunnarson Group 9 EC Qualification Norway-Iceland 2-1, goal from Gunnar Hreiðar þorvaldsson Iceland-Scotland 1-2, Eidur Gudjohnsen Holland-Iceland 3-1, Emil Hallfreðsson Iceland-Macedonia 3-3, 3x Eidur Gudjohnsen If you look to how we played, we did it very well with a 4-0 win over Azerbeizjan and a lucky draw of Macedonia over us. In every match we scored a goal and I'm hppy about that too. Standings in Group 9 at 1st January 2009: Holland 3-9 8-2Scotland 3-9 6-3 Norway 3-3 2-3 Iceland 4-1 6-10 Macedonia 3-1 6-10 A big stunt in the first qualification round -19: Our -19 manager Guðni Kjartansson lead Iceland to a big stunt in this round, to going through. The biggest Icelandic talents gave theirselves a win over Bulgaria -19 Here the results of the qualification, all played in Sofia: Kazakhstan-19 - Iceland -19 0-0 Iceland-19 - Bulgaria -19 3-0, Björn Sverrisson(FH), Bessi Viðisson(Keflavík), Kristinn Steindórsson(Breiðablik) Greece -19 - Iceland -19 3-1, AZ's Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson Group standings:Bulgaria 3-6 3-3 Greece 3-6 5-2 Iceland 3-4 4-3 Kazakhstan 3-1 0-4 Iceland wQualified as best number three Draw second qualification round: Germany, Belgium, Poland... winner is going through to the European Championship Under 19 -21 won against Ukraine with 1-0 the goal came from Heiðar Geir Júlíusson from Fram KF Total points: 0x30=

himan
Himan @ Iceland Year: 2009 The national team: Iceland-UAE 3-0, Gudjohnsen, Gunnarson(Nancy), Árnason(Esbjerg FB) Friendly WCQ: Scotland-Iceland 1-2 þorvaldsson, Árnason(both Esbjerg fB) Iceland-Holland 0-3 Macedonia-Iceland 3-4 Gunnarson, Gudjohnsen 3x Iceland-Norway 1-1, Olafur Örn Bjarnason(Brann) Late friendlies: Iceland-China 0-0 Iceland-Gabon 2-0, Gudjohnsen, Villhjálmsson(FH) We dit a great job with Iceland. We won against Scotland and UAE, what gave us 33 places on the FIFA list(113-> 80) and then we lost against Holland, what did nothing only lowered our chance on the World Cup. We had to win against Macedonia and Norway to may take the second place, but we failed and ended 4th with 8 points out of 8 games. In the late friendlies we drew against China and won easy against Gabon. At the end we took the 60th place of the world, that's between Wales and Trinidad and Tobago and two places higher then Northern Ireland! Standing group 9:Holland 24 24-4 Scotland 12 14-16 Norway 10 9-12 Iceland 8 13-18 Macedonia 4 13-23 Holland Qualified, Scotland wasn't one of the best numbers 2 Iceland -21: This team did a great job in Group 4 of the EC Qualification, here the results of the first 4 games: (I don't play with them I only want to show the Icelandic talent!) Georgia-Iceland 1-3 Gíslason(Viborg FF), Smárason(SC Heerenveen), Viðarsson(FC Twente) Iceland-Moldova 4-0 Ormarsson(Fram KF), Sigurdsson(Birmingham), Grímsson(Fram KF), Viðarsson Spain-Iceland 3-0 Iceland-Greece 3-1 Valgarðsson(FH), Gunnarsson(Coventry), Jóhannesson(Fylkir) Group 4 after 4 games: Spain 12 12-0 Iceland 9 10-5 Greece 6 8-6 Georgia 3 2-9 Moldova 0 0-12 I couldn't do it better I think... Iceland -19: You remember the last time they reached de 2nd Qualification round. Here it is: Iceland-Germany 1-4, Illugason(Reading) Belgium-Iceland 2-1, Sigþórsson(AZ Alkmaar) Poland-Iceland 0-0 Iceland ended third before Poland on scored goals. And then again a first qualifying round, can Iceland-19 stunt again? They play in Reykjavík: Portugal-Iceland 1-1 Guðlaugsson( ÍBV) Armenia-Iceland 1-1 Sverrison(FH) Iceland-Belgium 3-0 Stefánsson 2x(KA), Illugason(Reading) They did it again. When I saw they still had to play against Belgium and had only 2 points they could have a problem, but Iceland has more talent than I thought en they won it. Iceland ended first before Portugal and Belgium. So there is a European Championship -19 in it? then Iceland must take the first place in a group with Bulgaria, France and the Czech Republic. markypark14
Thanks i was delighted with the win over Kazakhstan, something to build on. However there is an underlying problem in Andorra. There are only 65 players eligible for Andorra, 31 off which are 30+ years old, so i'm hoping quite a few youth players come through otherwise i could have major problems in the future. greenwhitearmy
are your regens any good or are u just a good tactician cause 4-0 v estonia is a very good result
markypark14
A few of the regens are good but i also have a pretty solid tactic which seems to be working very well. To be fair Estonia were reduced to ten men in the first half and their team is mainly greyed out players as i'm running a small database.
greenwhitearmy
right could you screenshot ur best regen and post here, ccause i want to see how good they are
himan
2008, Netherlands Antilles WCQ 1st round Netherlands Antilles-Anguilla 4-0 Nelisse(3), Jongsma Anguilla-Netherlands Antilles 2-1 Mackay WCQ 2nd round Netherlands Antilles-USA 0-1 USA-Netherlands Antilles 2-1 Nelisse (We scored first, so I had even hope to going through, but in de 61st and 63rd minut they ruined it ) Friendlies: Netherlands Antilles-Costa Rica 2-4 Sidney Bito, Nelisse Netherlands Antilles-Antigua&Barbuda 6-2 Sidney Bito(2), Mackay, Nelisse, Kantelberg, Deul Netherlands Antilles-Guyana 2-0 Deul, Winklaar Netherlands Antilles-Bermuda 3-1 Deul, Sidney Bito, Martha 2009, Netherlands Antilles Friendlies Netherlands Antilles-Grenada 1-1 Kantelberg Netherlands Antilles-Haïti 5-2 Mackay(3), Martina(2) Netherlands Antilles-Equatorial Guinea 2-3 Nelisse, Rojer Netherlands Antilles-Guinea 3-3 Sidney Bito, Nelisse, Winklaar Netherlands Antilles-Surinam 4-3 Sidney Bito, Kantelberg, Deul, Winklaar Netherlands Antilles-Cuba 2-0 Benschop(2) Netherlands Antilles-UAE 1-0 Winklaar 2010, Netherlands Antilles And again Friendlies: Br. himan
2011, Friendlies pre-Gold Cup Netherlands Antilles-Lithuania 0-1 Netherlands Antilles-Honduras 2-2 Deul, Martina Gold Cup, Group Stage: Honduras-Netherlands Antilles 2-0 Netherlands Antilles-Costa Rica 3-0 Jansen, Deul, Sidney Bito Trinidad&Tobago-Netherlands Antilles 3-3 Nelisse, Jansen, Benschop Group Standings: 1st Honduras 9 11-1 2nd Netherlands Antilles 4 6-5 3rd Costa Rica 3 2-8 4th Trinidad&Tobago 1 5-10 Honduras and we were going through, cause we are at the first two. Costa Rica was the 2nd team of the best three teams, so they were just lucky! Quarterfinals: Mexico-Netherlands Antilles 4-2 Benschop, Rojer Honduras-El Salvador 3-0 Costa Rica-USA 1-2 Canada-Cuba 4-0 This was as expected the end of the tournament. Mexico was just to good for us, but they were better than every team this tournament. Semi's Honduras-Mexico 0-5 USA-Canada 3-0 3rd/4th place: Honduras-Canada 2-4 Final: Mexico-USA 4-2 Friendlies after the Gold Cup.
