Surely this isn't coded into the game????

Recommended Posts

I'm in the year 2021 in my main game.

I'm managing Celtic (who I've swapped into the EPL using the editor).

Anyway, during my tenure at the club I've had three main strikers: Frederico Laurito, Nathan Delfouneso and a regen called Ian McShane.

All three have been amazing for me. Getting 20+ a season for me.

Anyway. I noticed the following:

When Frederico reached 99 league goals for Celtic, it took him 10 or so matches to finally get his 100th.

Next was Ian McShane. He was on a fantastic run of form getting 14 goals in the first 8 matched of a new EPL season when he reached his 99th goal for Celtic. THEN BAM! no more goals for 12 matches. Again he couldn't quite get the 100th.

Now it's Nathans turn and he's now been on 99 league goals for Celtic for about 11 matches.

Could it be coded into the game for this to happen???? Surely not!

It's a nice little personal landmark, but surely not enough to make a top level pro start bottling it in front of goal for 900 minutes.

Agreed. If they did put this into the game, it would've been nice if it's mentioned in the goal drought media messages.

"Some reports suggest that the importance of reaching such a landmark for the club is weighing heavily on player x's shoulders..."

Something like that, to add more depth.
