gazwefc Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 read on here afew days back that because of the new type of licensing you no longer need the cd in your drive to play FM09 so my question is, is that true? and if it is true that you dont need the cd is there a limit to how many computers you can have FM09 licensed on? I was going to buy a pre-owned version (that would have already been licensed) then install it on my home pc and my laptop, is that possable? Neji Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Thats right. The DRM gives you 5 license 'seats'. So you can have it installed to any 5 computers at one time, but the licenses are only for you (ie not your mates). If you're on a Mac, you still have to use the DVD to play. You should be fine with a pre-owned version as you can deactivate licenses through the internet (but don't quote me on that, as I've never used the service).
