Desmond-Norman mcphilfords
i got him on loan for rochdale, and he scored a FREEKICK, from about twenty yards out, against man. city reserves in a freindly. then he was on loan to notts co., in a different game, and he scored a drop kick against me. then i got him on loan in the same game(or save) as that drop kick goal, and he come up for a corner for some reason and scored a header. why? glamdring
Why not? What exactly is a "drop kick" anyway in a footballing context? Sounds kind of illegal
SI Staff Michael Burling Posted May 29, 2008 SI Staff Share Posted May 29, 2008 It's unlikely he would score goals from free-kick and kicking the ball upfield but no impossible, scoring goals from a corner with a header is more than possible as Paul Robinson and Peter Schmeichel would know. Acerfortis
I'm sure Chilavert would disagree that it is more unlikly for a gk to score from a free kick than a corner. And I've seen a few goals irl scored from a gk booting the ball up and bouncing over the other gks head. So I wouldn't say any one of those type of goals is more possible irl than the other. Althouh I wish my gk scored
