Sign Up- Build Your Career

10-20 people needed for a sign up. Build your own career. Stats will be decided by yourself with a total of 144 points to be decided by you over the board. (Technical, mental and Physical stats). This equates to a stat of 4 for each attribute if they were spread equally over the combined 36 different stats. Choose them as you like and set the position you would like to play.

All players will start at the age of 16 (so il pick a Date at random in the month of July, as though they had turned 16 in pre season ready for the new 2008/09 season)

Choose a Blue Square North or South team to play in.

Choose a total of 2 prefferred moves that you would like to start with that you feel will enable you to best play effectively in your position.

Choose your nationality and characteristics you would like. E.g. Determined, light hearted etc.

All players will start with a CA of 50 so they will effectively be high end players in the Blue Square N/S.

The aim is to progress as the best player out of these generation of players. There wont be a points system as such, but obvious footballing achievemnets will win praise. I will report with Player of the month awards, all interest from teams, international caps/U21/U19's.

All players will be either English/Scottish or Welsh to avoid players moving onto different leagues. Decide your place of birth.

The main career achievements will be through natural progression and average ratings accross the board.

The idea is that each player will develop into what is described by coaches as a good premier league striker/winger/defender etc. Players will have a Potential ability set at 165 which will see them good enough for the premier league and possibly International level depending on how their stats were arranged to start with and how they develop through coaching.

Id assume they would be simply wasting the benefit of how the personality can have a positive impact on their career. If a born leader is the one that gives the end of season 'rallies the troops' or such, then these will have little or no affect.

Id probably say it will just minimize the affect their personality has on helping them develop as a player.

The personality is to be selected on how you feel you can become more successful.

If you wish to jump ship as early as possible, an ambitious personality will be obvious choice. Choose what you feel will help you develop quickest or be a player who can cut it when times are hard.

Also, if anyone has any preference in how they would like me to set their more intricat stats such as height, weight, favourite team etc then let me know. Also, the ones that one only appear on Genie scout such as proffessionalism etc.

We'l have to see what happens. The potential ability of all the players will be 165 so perhaps the personality of the player will influence which stats increase at a quicker and higher rate.

Must have a stat of at least 1.

I dont think iv ever seen a player with a stat at 0 so il try to keep the realism.

An entry of 0 doesn't appear as an attribute of 0 - it appears as a randomly-valued attribute.

Are you implying that the mental stats can be influenced by player personality, and therefore the stats people have chosen not appear when the game is loaded?

So what the sign ups will have to do is either state what kind of personality they would like using the editor, and then this will affect mental stats???

If I try to keep the mental stats just as people have submitted then this may bear a result on how the player is described. Is this the consequence?

Will it just be the mental attributes that are altered a little then? Or could determination/player personality, also affect physical and technical stats?

The personality description has no game effect in itself - it is merely a label describing what numbers the player has in the specific eight stats I mentioned. I don't think you can directly set a personality description using the editor - you have to set the person data, and the description will be derived from that.

English leagues premiership-Blue Sq N/S.

Scotts leagues prem and 1st Div.

Full detail for all these.

I meant in the original post, just set yourself as someone from the British Isles. Just so we dont get people moving to leagues that are difficult to report on, just because they are Austrian in Nationality for example.

Iv been setting the players to the following:-

Consistency- 10 (average for everyone)

Dirtiness- 5 (i assume this is low and will cut out dirty behaviour)

Injury proneness- 5 )This is the one Im concerned about. Is 5 low meaning he will rarely be injured is does 5 mean susceptible to injury?)

I was thinking perhaps as setting all these to 0 and letting the computer decide at random. Is that how it would work? Perhaps the personality would influence the ratings for these. Also important matches has been set to 10.

Any suggestions?

Injury proneness 5 means injuries are rare. Similarly dirtiness 5 means infrequent dirty behaviour.
