Cruzway
Some people was saying about Reals defence , well Florentino does it again, mix that two with Pepe and Ramos. Just WOW Playing with them on the next FM is going to be cheating!
FootyKing
Arbeloa isn't that good on FM09 but I expect him to be pretty good in FM10 along with Albiol who is very good defender in 09....Kaka and Ronaldo up-front with David Villa? (If he moves)...scary stuff!
charlo116
that would be right arbeloa moves away from liverpool and gets a ca increase.
LRJ
Yeah he is criminally under-rated on FM Had a youth who on the scout reports said he could be better than Arbeloa, but i should offload him
charlo116
tbh i don't rate pepe at all and combined with ramos they make the most undisciplined pair of defenders in world football, irl i wouldn't be too excited about the additions of arbeloa and albiol, is still leaves the amdrid defence significantly weaker than other top teams. drogba
Quite honestly that defence spells out being prone to mistakes, training at Madrid next season is going to be a mismatch of quality attacking players and weak defensive players.
tomtuck01
What a weird thread, considering that neither of these two players have joined Real Madrid, or have been subject of firm offers from Real Madrid. Plus I dont get how those 2 players would make Real unbeatable or anything alike.
charlo116
it will probably make madrid unbeatable on fm if you compare how they went irl this season compared to how good they are on the game.
backpackant
Teams take time to gel, and as we all know, no tactic is unbeatable no matter who your team is. In real life AND on the game.
DP
arbeloa is nothing special. not enough to help madrid win the league. barcelona will crush them again next year. perez is a disaster who's not building a winning 'team' he's just building a merchandising giant. Elrithral
Does nobody remember the Galacticos? That worked out well.
phnompenhandy
Hang on - Arbeloa doesn't want to lose his place to Glen Johnson, so he goes to challenge for a first team place with SERGIO RAMOS??? He's the best defender in the game (FM09, I mean)!!!
charlo116
Does nobody remember the Galacticos? That worked out well. but real madrid have serious issues and this spending won't solve that, kaka was a good buy because they desperately needed someone in that playmaker role, although i don't believe he was the best choice. Realistically the "score one more than you" philosophy doesn't work and barca will overpower them throughout the season as well as other top teams in europe. There is no doubt that a full strength real madrid side could rip apart smaller teams witht these players but they will struggle against strong opposition. Michael Osmann
that would be right arbeloa moves away from liverpool and gets a ca increase. ... and I'm sure Glenn Johnson will get a descrease in FM10 now he's a pool player.
Elrithral
lol i didn't realise, i'm too young to remember the Galacticos so i wouldn't know. You're 18, we're only talking 4-5 years ago!
Michael Osmann
You're 18, we're only talking 4-5 years ago! Maybe he didnt knew anything 'bout "soccer" at that time
charlo116
yeah, hopefully there will be some increases in ratings for liverpool players seeing as they came close to the premier league title.
iamjerome
barcelona have already been 'god tier'. daniel alves, pique, marquez, toure, xavi, iniesta, messi, henry, eto'o. all you have to do is buy a left back if you don't think abidal is good enough (he isn't irl), valdes isn't half bad. charlo116
Maybe he didnt knew anything 'bout "soccer" at that time thats actually the truth, i've played "football" since i was young but didn't really follow it until a few years ago, seeing as there was no strong domestic league in australia and i couldn't watch european football on tv, which made it difficult to follow.
