Activation fix doesn't work

It seems the activation fix doesn't work (mentioned here and downloaded from here)

I have tried it on Windows 7 x64 (Build 7100), and Vista x64 Service Pack 2. Wouldn't be shocked about the 7 issue, but Vista having problems is cause for concern, and doesn't appear to be mentioned in the support pages. I do have the opportunity to use windows xp (32-bit) as a workaround, but not everyone may have that luxury.

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Although it is not the same error message, it appears to be the same fix as here:

When launching the game you receive the following Error: “FM.exe application error. The application has failed to initialize correctly (0xC0150002). Click on OK to stop the application.

Fix: This can be resolved by updating the Microsoft Dot.Net framework, please visit the following URL to download:
