players underperforming

Last year i won the league and the champions league mainly because of my 2 creative wingers

In there second year they have been simply poor - is there a way I can do something about this

Cant be my tactics because if I use different players they play well ??

Maybe other team learned how to deal with those two wingers.

No I have not tried that yet - i will give it go does that normalley work ????

Same thing happened to me with Drogba. First season he scored 33 goals. Half way through my Second season........6.Im in February,so unless FM allows use of drugs i dont think he's going to make it to 20

If they under perform then yes. Being too harsh can have a negative effect but if you get it just right they try harder to prove you wrong.

There is no option allowing me to choose to talk to him

Then he hasn't played enough games recently play him a few more times see if he starts performing if he doesn't then you can criticize. You can always choose to play the other winger allowing this winger to come in later on in games.

My general rule of thumb is no one has a right to play. I always tend to play the performers then give the others a run out every now and then to see if they can claim a place for the next game.
