Installation (sorry i orignally posted in the wrong section)

Im new to the forum and the reason for me posting on here is to ask

Do you have to have internet to play football manager 2009?

I have tried to install the game on my computer,it has no internet and when it loads up I have to use type a product code and select internet line,either phone or online connection.

I typed in the product code to see if it would let me have another option to play without internet but the game will not let be play without a connection,or go to the next stage of set up.

This has proper annoyed me as I have just got the game from the shops and my own computer does not have internet,can anyone please help?

Is there anyway i can get around having to phone for the activation,as the phone thing will cost loads of money

sorry if this seems like spam,its just i want to play the game but if i have to phone it costs £1 a minute

I would reccomend doing it online - you only have to be online the first time you run it (ie only during that first authentication) and after that you never need to be on again...

cheers for advice,but I'm going to be playing this game on a computer with no internet connection of any sort.The computer I am on now isn't mine

Apparently I have to phone up for a code thingy but is there any way I can get this code without having to pay £1 a minute?
