I'm in my 3rd season and I offered £35m and it was accepted, but he said he was loyal to Barca and rejected. So I got Marquinhos istead at over half the price. I first noticed his release clause was £44m, so I decided that I'd try to sign him in the next transfer window. Then I got a message saying he'd extended his contract and I presumed his release clause had gone up to £100m or something. It hadn't. It had instead gone down to £39m.
