soulblind
Since AI doesn't put any effort into youth that happens all the time and to everybody.
Hershie
Since AI doesn't put any effort into youth that happens all the time and to everybody. Yup. Wolves side have won 14 years in a row or something similarly bizarre.
afced7
Yeah its not unusual tbf, I mean I've got a guy who plays Right wing and has 26 goals and 13 assists in 20 starts, 5 sub appearances, and he only has a recommendation of 2 stars
Keroppi
Yep, completed 3 seasons in the current save. Both the reserves and the U18s have won their group every year. And yes, the U18 was unbeaten last year, including winning the U18 Cup.
PompeyForEver
Yes under 18's unbeaten is something like 68 matches iirc.

phnompenhandy
Since AI doesn't put any effort into youth that happens all the time and to everybody. Exactly. My U18s have a 100% friendly, league and cup record. I don't boast about it; I simply invest heavily in talented regens, and the AI doesn't.
vrisk85
You don't even need to invest in talented players, any players will do
Smudge249
I wondered about this as my youth team were doing excellent. To be honest its a bit of a crap addition then to the FM series if the AI does not invest. By having a youth league i thought it would be beneficial as you can send scounts out to watch but if the results do not mean anything then this is a waste of time being in the game. I have got a good striker in the youth setup who is now in reserves and based on his performances in the youth team for 2 years i thought he could definitely be a star in the making. Is it the same for the reserve games?
phnompenhandy
U18 and reserve games are good for giving the players match experience and assessing their abilities.
Smithers
Ah I was wondering why my under 18s were so phenomenal. They've won the league about 8 times in a row, and consistantly get a goal difference of +80. Highlights have been a 14-0 drubbing over Derby U18s and 1 player scored over 50 goals in about 30 games And there was me thinking it was all because of my awesome scouting skills and youth coaches...
