Wakers Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 Depends on the setup. I'm not saying the wiki is bad, just that that one hint isn't great. By the vary nature of running in compatability mode, the computer is taking extra steps to run the program and disabling features. For instance, when aero is turned off, load is being shifted from the graphics card back to the processor, and this effects windowed applications. If you have a slowish processor, this isn't what you want; hence it can (and does) slow down certain programs in certain situations. It definitely makes FM run slower on my x64 desktop.
