3rd season Posted May 29, 2009 Share Posted May 29, 2009 I have seen a previous comment about this but cannot find it sorry. But my keeper gets a pass back, then runs a few steps and get tackles by the striker who just knocks the ball in to the net. It happened to me 6 times this year, which some people may think is a lot but it actually is and some of the games were quite crucial at the time. The most annoying thing is that the roles have never been reversed as i have never scored a goal like that. Does this happen much to anyone else? And is there anything you can do about it? Might have your Backs sending the ball in a 'safe' direction first. For your defense, this would mean back to your goalie often. Is your Goalie set to 'Hold Up Ball', "Run with Ball Often' or 'Ultra-Defensive Mentality'? Might explain why he is dwelling on the ball far too long. Is most of your team set to "Forward Runs Often"? Perhaps once he gets the ball he has very few options to pass since they are all running up the field on him while he is set to Short Passes. phnompenhandy Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 It's your tactics! Keeper needs higher mentality. Also maybe he needs better attributes in Anticipation and Rushing out.
