Football Manager 2007 Installation Problem.

I fancied going back onto FM 2007 because I've though it would be fun doing some of the older versions but I'm having problems installing it.

I am running Windows Vista and my machine spec is fine but when I try to install it says: 'The installer was unable to run in graphical mode. Try running the installer in the -console or -silent flag.'

I wondered if anybody would be able to help me with this?

He's right. You do need to install the proper Java client - you may be running a lite version of Java, or no Java at all.

Let us know if it doesn't work first, as I'm fairly confident that this will resolve it (note: it might be worth restarting your machine after installing Java before trying to install FM07).

I did what you said to do with Java, but it hasn't worked however, instead of using hte 'Setup FM 2007 PC' option I used the one above called' setup. and that worked however when it came to putting the directory details in it came up with the error message in the screenshot.

As you're using Vista, try logging in as the administrator and installing from there. If the administrator account is nto avalaible, then you need to right click on My Computer (or just Computer) and select Manage. Then go to Users & Groups, then go to Users, and right click on the Administrator account and untick the box which says something like "Account disabled".

I am the computer administrator, I have also tried running the setup using the 'Run as Admin' thing.

Just a bit of info on the installation.

It only lasted a few seconds then went to that screen, dunno if that helps but thought it might be useful.

I've been playing the 07 demo whilst waiting for to find out about the installation do you think if I uninstalled the demo it would make any difference?

You need to ensure that Java Virtual Machine is installed on your system

It is that's how I've got to the point at the last screen shot.

Thanks everybody, I copied the disc contents into Documents and it worked installing from there strangely. Didn't do anything different.
