scalascione
I am currently playing as New York Red Bulls (I know MLS sucks, but I needed a new challenge). I lost Juan Pablo Angel this season and am trying to sign Mark Viduka with a DP spot. I have more than enough payroll room and plenty of transfer funds, but it's not letting me use my DP spot. Any suggestions?
MarkyMark
Can you elaborate on what's happening? When you go to offer a contract, are you changing the Contract Type to Designated Player? Does it say the player is not interested in playing for your team?

nycjoker21
I also have played several seasons with the Red Bulls. Like you, Angel left my team after one season and I replaced him with Julio Cruz. Most likely you don't have the option to offer Viduka a DP contract because the chairman does not value the player enough. If the player has a high enough reputation then the chairman will allow you to offer a DP contract. Just to give you a idea of what type of players you can bring in, after about 6 seasons with the red bulls I have had Van Bommel, Coupet, and Keita as some of my DPs.
