Multiple nationalities

I am managing a small nation that gets very few regens because the domestic league is not included in the game. However, there are a fair few English regens every year that have my country as their second nationality. There is one youngster in particular who I have my eye on, and he has no caps for England at any level, but I can't call him into my squad or the U-20 squad.

I would guess that this is because on his personal screen, under international happiness, it says something like "Feels he would opt for England at this young age." Am I correct, or is there another reason?

Maybe he's waiting for a call from England ,if he wouldn't get it just stick by him maybe he accepts your call

Try raising the countries reputation by doing well in high profile friendlies and tournaments. That might make the player take notice and hopefully accept a future call up

Is it possible that maybe there is a team from your country playing abroad? They'll get regens for your country...

Thanks guys, it seems to be a bit random tbh because a week later in-game that particular player allowed me to call him up, but now some other youngsters who had previously been interested in playing for me now won't have anything to do with me. Darn kids need to make up their minds.

Call them up and give them a 10min sub in the first possible international game. Then they'll be bound to you and won't refuse any future call-ups...

you should make the league in which ur country is then you get more regens
