Pay As You Play

Simple question really but a lot of Bradford City players are on play as you pay deals In real life so I was wondering has it been mentioned for FM10 and would si include this feature?

Yes it is, this often happens in the lower leagues. Robbie Fowler was PAYPing at Cardiff iirc.

At Wycombe, we also have a few players on pay as you play, although generally less than other clubs. It could be a feature for clubs who are struggling financially and need to save costs. IIRC Chester City have quite a few players on pay as you play due to their financial situation (They are in Administration ATM)

I agree. And PAPY would most likely apply to older players in the top flight.

Maybe in the future, they would introduce clauses like playing a certain amount of games before earning a new contract, something like what Kanu is contracted to atm.

I certainly run into players at LLM sides who are on deals like:

£250 per-annum plus £50 per appearance

Isn't that, essentially, a "Pay as you play" contract?

Due to the credit crunch a lot more teams will be using this.. At Bradford 7 players have already been offered this method and it gives more allowance for the lower league teams.

As long as they can get the players to accept these offers, which would be the only stumbling block I could see happening.
