Parachute payment & relegation

Can anyone explain, with £ figures if posible, how the parachute payment module works in FM09 finanaces, both for Human managed teams that get relegated and for teams relegated in real life at the end of season 07/08, ie in a new lower division for the start of the FM09 database set (and, indeed, for clubs relegated in previous season(s) were parachute payments continue for more that 1 season after relegation).

I have not noticed the effect of payments but they could be sundry figures of income that I have missed. Actually to include these figures in the appropriate League's "Rules" wouldn't be a bad idea, maybe for FM10?, as surely clubs would have a ballpark idea of such figures (to bear in mind to prepare for the worst case outcome of a season - ie relegation!) when they spend their current League's windfall.
