Schotsmannetje
Just a quick question really: Wouldn't it add to the realism of the game if you could instruct your players to choose to play towards your own supporters in the first or second half (depending on what you prefer) after the coin toss, therefore slightly influencing your team's motivation? When my team Feyenoord play at home for example, they always choose to play towards their own supporters in the second half, therefore having a small advantage during the second half. Just a minor detail though. It's not the most important thing in the world.
rednwhites
I see what you mean. At Forest, if possible, we always attack The Trent End in the second half. I wouldn't be too fussed if this was included either way tbh.
BenArsenal
I think Liverpool prefer to attack the Kop in the second half too.
golfpunk
Same with Aberdeen. I would think alot of teams would prefer to shoot towards their own fans in the 2nd half for motivational purposes!
hursty2
And United prefer to attack to the Stretford End in the 2nd half. As you said it would add a slight motivation boost.
Harryseaess
Sounds like a good idea, would add a sense of realism.
Schotsmannetje
Thanks for the positive feedback so far. Will post it in the wishlist thread.
Elrithral
I'd say it's hard enough to code players playing better because of home support, let alone playing better because of home support at one end.
ozzij
I think it would become boring doing that every match. abit like the press confrences
Schotsmannetje
??? Harder to code then having, let's say, 20 different notches of attacking mentality PER PLAYER?
Schotsmannetje
I think it would become boring doing that every match. abit like the press confrences Do what every match? All you'd have to do is tick a box in the Team Instructions Tactics screen to tell your players to play towards your home support in either the first or second half? Elrithral
Not harder to code than that example, but it's obvious that more time would be spent on player instructions. IMO a coin toss would be hard to code, because I don't want them wasting an awful lot of time on it.
ism-scfc
But which end of the ground are the home fans situated? Is it the end at which it says the name of the home team? And yes, Stockport always try to attack the Cheadle End in the second half.

But it doesn't always go your own way. You can play away and try to 'disrupt' the home team's preference when you win the toss.
