What is your manager personal data ?

Recommended Posts

Self explanatory.

So, what is your FM manager name ?

Do you use your real name, in style Xxxx Xxxxxxxx ? or all capital, to make it different from AI manager ?

Or maybe you use nickname instead ?

And do you use your real dob ? is the year (age ) correct or you simply make it older ?

And lastly, do you use your real nationality ?

I go first, I always name my FM manager in capital first order, like Xxxx Xxxxx, real dob, real age and real nationality.

I always have a made up name for the country I'm managing in, including the word 'Manager' in the surname (I'm lazy). I'm superstitious about having my own name as a manager. Lastly, I take the nationality of the country I'm in.

Italy - Andrea Managerino

France - Pierre Managerie

Germany - Horst Wessel (one of few exceptions to the rule)

Spain - Xavier Managerez

Norway - Per Olsen

UK - James King (not my real name)

Russia - Andrej Managervich

Depends on where Im managing, Im my LLM games I used my real name, real dob (well not the born year, 20 year olds cant be managers so it seems :p) and real nationality.

In any games i do abroad or higher teams I choose a name from the country Im managing in ... had a few names . .. usually use ...

Joaquin Ramirez (Spanish)

Jose Gustavo Tavares Silva(Brazil/Portugal)

Simone Lucchina (Italy)

Ralf De Graff (Holland)

I'm currently being Mr Lucchina in the game im going with at the moment, before I go back to my Weston super mare LLM game, well in the prem now, but at least i feel like i can use my real name for getting the rep :) I wouldn't use my name going straight to say a Prem team or Europe team.

All good fun.

Before FM06, I always use the name and data of Marco Van Basten or Danielle Massaro or Arrigo Sacchi :D, managing AC Milan.

Have to stop since The Swan is back into the game later.

Sadly Danielle Massaro never. :(

I always use my real name (sometimes with a shortened version of my first name), DOB abd nationality.

Unless I am just running a holiday game for editing purposes, which is quite often at the moment, in which case it will be Untitled User.

Second nationalities are annoying! Linguistic ability seems to be a barrier to getting jobs at lower level clubs when starting abroad, but because of my anal retentive nature I have to but my real second nationality (scottish), which doesn't give me a new language.

My girlfriend has dutch as a second nationality, and so gains several other languages, but never puts them to good use as she won't manage as anyone other than Middlesbrough!!

I use real dob, and an Xxxx Xxxx naming style.

Beyond that, I've been all over the map. Most commonly, I use my real first name and last initial but a different last name. Sometimes I've made up names entirely to suit the nationality I've chosen. Nationality is all over the map, sometimes my real nationality, sometimes English, sometimes other favourite nations (Dutch, Croatian, etc). I'll usually set my "second nationality" as that of the nation I'm starting my career in, if it doesn't match my first nationality.

I've had managers called Jim Jury (Chimney Corner and Celtic), Ralf Loose (FC Vaduz, former manager of Liechenstein IRL), and others I can't remember including my real name.

Year flunctuates, but all the managers share my real birthday (9/3).

When I use me, I give myself Swiss nationality as this reflects that I can speak French and German.

  • 2 weeks later...

I usually roleplay my managers. They tend to be 27-34 year old Europeans (often with South American roots) who spent time in the Serie A as an attacking-winger whose career ended early - sometimes by injury, usually by choice.

The names are invariably flamboyant:

Nicholas Kafka (Luxembourgian)

Julian de Guiscard (French/German)

Robben van Lanstien (Dutch)

Rio Alexis (Brazilian/Swiss) - Current Game

Stefan Lazlo (Italian/Argentinian)

Art Gallagher (Irish) - Current Game

I've tried roleplaying myself several times but I actually find it harder to do. :(

Most games it's just my real name, d.o.b and nationality.

However If I'm managing two clubs (or 1 club 1 Nation) then I'll have either:

José Valaréz - Spanish - same d.o.b as mine

Bill Struth - Scottish (Same data as the man himself)

Carlos Alvéra - Portugese - 42 years - Int. Footballer (Over 50 caps for portugal and a favoured personnel for porto)

I tend to use these 'other managers' purposely in a different way, as if they all have thier own personality and styles.

For instance with Alvéra I'm cocky to the press, other managers, I play alot of mind-games and have a very creative attacking style. Where-as with Struth i'm more straight-up and honest and have a defensive hunt down the ball style.

I also use different names for different nationalities:

England= Roger Hackney

Scotland = Archie Smith

Italy = Federico Ravioli

Germany = Heinrich Dürner

I also like to use FMRTE to edit the caps/goals stat to 1 cap/3 goals. A promising superstar who scored a hattrick on his international debut before picking up a horrendous injury...;)
