Tottenham, the saviours of English football

Recommended Posts

In my game (about to start the 7th season), Arsenal are just great like in your game. They haven't let any other team win the EPL since the game has started (only Liverpool once came close, they had 78 points both but Arsenal won), and won the CL three times in 4 years. They were finalists in the season where they lost the cup!

BTW, Norwich City have been promoting to and relegating from the Championship consistently, I have never seen them stay in Championship or League 1 more than one year.

Who is Manchester United's manager? it's not Moyes is it?

They clearly wanted another British manager, but the results were unsuccessful. Things got so bad they even hired a former England manager. He lasted half a season.

Hopefully San Iker can return them to the top.

I "fixed" English football by breaking the top 4... Then broke it by making myself the top... 1!

Chelsea were relegated a few seasons back and spent 2 season in the Championship before returning, they've nearly been relegated in 3 out of 4 seasons. United have recently been relegated. Sucks to be them!

Original screenshot sums up 1 problem with AI teams.

Pompey finish 3rd but concede 51 goals. That's incredibly unrealistic. When's the last time a team finished top 4 despite conceding 50 goals +?

2002, the lovely Newcastle when we weren't a joke.

Can't be bothered to fix the table :(

Edit: Actually, if Arsenal concede twice in their final match they'll have conceded 50 goals as well. So it's not that crazy really is it?

Something funny happens with Man Utd both in FM07 and FM09 while the club is beeing managed by computer. They have this huge loan set (I'm assuming it's the reason) and after couple of seasons they transform into mid-table finisher or even get relegated and fade into oblivion. Though when I took over the control the club was making huge profits, waaay bigger than the debt.

And FM08. On every long-term game I've played they've gone down the toilet. I can't help but feel the programmers don't like Man Utd. I'm not complaining though, I don't like them either.

Arsenal haven't been like this on my save. Chelsea won in the first season, but then Arsenal won four straight Premier League titles before Manchester United got their crown back. Manchester City have won the last six and lead by 8 points after 23 games chasing the seventh.

Worse than that, they hired former Ireland manager Steve Staunton! What on earth was going on there... And he lasted nearly 2 years. Bizarre!
