1. Open up notepad.

2. Follow the instructions from that page.

3. Save it with the .edt extension (basically, call it what you like and put ".edt" at the end of it).

4. Follow this guide

Never noticed how much that page is missing, it doesn't really make any sense. I'll get around to fixing it soon, thanks for bringing it up.

never knew you could do this, gonna add me a son, is the CA and PA random?

Yes, the CA and PA is random.

Bleedin' Vista, can't save it into the db

How do you mean? If it comes up with a message about privledges then, you can change these without harming anything.

im guessing you can't do this halfway through a game though?

No, you can't do this halfway through a game. You have to start a new game and tick the .edt file before you start the new game for it to work.

I cant seem to get tis to work I have done everything the guide says to do but they wont show up in the "Add Extra Files" part.

Any ideas why?

Where exactly are you trying to save it?

File destination please

Hope this helps everyone. :)

When i go to C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\db - There is an empty folder there. Do i just put the EDT file there

You put it in here, if you are running the latest patch, I think:

\football manager 2009\data\updates\update-930\db\930\edt

The part before that depends on whether you are running steam or not.

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\football manager 2009\data\updates\update-930\db\930\edt

That is the right location, I think.
