Anon.
Hi guys, How would I go about re-creating the current save game that I have on a new machine? i.e. same database, same save game, etc. Cheers
Wlv
Install the game and patch it up to the same level as you had previously, find your saved game file from the old pc and put it on a memory stick/cd/etc and load on to new pc. Run fm and load the saved file. This is presuming you haven't edited the database using a tool other than the si editor
Anon.
Can I also copy over the 'db' folder and that would ensure my database is moved over?
Wlv
You can do if you wish but I've never had to. I went to visit the parents a couple weeks ago and all I took was my saved game file. Downloaded fm using steam and allowed it to update and then loaded my game, worked a treat. If you wanted to you could install the game on your new pc, then from your old of copy everything from my documents > sports interactive > fm 2009, and put it in the same location on the new pc. That should copy your database, saved games, tactics, training, pictures.
