RFC_1972 Posted May 9, 2009 Share Posted May 9, 2009 My game has suddenly got very slow. I'm only on my 4th season (with France, Spain, Scotland, Italy and England leagues) and it's slow as hell. Text games take ages. Processing takes ages. The game is using 100% of the CPU and still slow. My PC is powerful, exceeding most of the req's by double. I've closed all the other programs (AV, Firewall, IE) FM 2007 used to run fast as f*ck on this PC. Any ideas how to speed it up / what the problem is? I've tried the ones on footballmanagerwiki. Results are not processed outwith the selected leagues. Processing speed fast. Does the game draw the sky, stadiums, etc.? Don't know, I only use text games. SCIAG Posted May 9, 2009 Share Posted May 9, 2009 Do not process anything outside of the leagues/cups you are actually managing. I think in preferences you can do things like disable stadiums, disable the sky, and set 3D to "low". Strangely, this speeds up 2D. It probably does the same for text only.
