Tricking the opposition? [Pre-Match conference]

Recommended Posts

Hi.

In the pre match conference when you're asked if you're going to make big changes is it possible to say that you are but then don't? and vice versa; say you're not but then do.

Or does the team get demoralized because you say one thing and do another?

I'd like to think we could trick. Mind games and all.

I wish my players would not listen to the media. In real life, we're always being told by players that they don't read the papers, and managers can have a go at each other and it doesn't affect how they play on the pitch, etc.

If in a press conference, I say that I don't like manager x, and my team will easily beat them, my players either get happy or moan at me for being unprofessional. Most footballers in real life couldn't really care less.
