golfpunk Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 I'm managing Russia and it's 2018 and we are hosting the World Cup and I've noticed something that I think isn't right. Don't the hosts of the World Cup go straight into Group A and play in the opening game of the World Cup? I was drawn in Group G and didn't play my first game until about the 3rd/4th day in. So maybe this is a bug then? Well maybe not a bug as it's not a gamebreaker but maybe a data issue or something? Does anyone know if this has been highlighted to SI before? I always thought the defending champions kicked things off, as Brazil would have been in '98.
