Rested first team playing reserves!

Very fustrating.. I have a big champions L game in the week so i rested ALL my first team and let the u-18/Reserves play in the league (as i already had won the league) After that game you get the same old 'select who you want to play in your reserves game' I made sure that everyone was unselected from my team i wanted to play in the champs L then i get a message about the reserves winning 8-0 checked and it was the starting 11 i was going to play! plus one got injured. Brilliant.

TL;DR : First team playing reserves. how do i stop.

You could take control of the reserve team for that one match you need them to be rested and select the squad for the reserves yourself.... not ideal but thats one way to make sure your first team players are not used.

Click on one first team player.

Press control and A. This will highlight the whole squad.

Right click

Squad(top option) > Avalible for reserve squad

Make sure 'avalible for reserve squad does NOT have a diamond next to it.

This will have happened because all your reserves will have been knackered from playing for the first team i think, so your reserve team manager picked some of the first team players. I think that's why, not sure though.

Click on one first team player.

Press control and A. This will highlight the whole squad.

Right click

Squad(top option) > Avalible for reserve squad

Make sure 'avalible for reserve squad does NOT have a diamond next to it.

An e-mail most likely arrived regarding your Reserve team. Since you technically had your 'First Team' selected (made up of reserves & youths) it defaults to choosing who your 'unused' players were. In this case your true First team.
