Customer Support - Lost activation code

Right.

Thought I'd left my manual in my uni halls, moved back yesterday and can't find it anyway so it's well and truly lost now.

Posted my problem a few weeks back and was told to contact customer support. Tried this, and was waiting on hold for far too long so I ndecided to wait it out and see if my manual was here at uni, which it's not.

I've read a few threads on this and people have just been told to contact customer support and proof of ourchase keeps being mentioned. Anyone that has had to do this, can they get you you're activation code, and how? Was a proof of purchase needed, and what was required?

Don't fancy hanging on for ages only to find out nothing can done.
