Tom-West
Just wondered if anybody knows which is the shortest league in the game with the least amount of fixtures including cup competitions?
Tom14
I'd guess at the Australian domestic league.

nycjoker21
this may be a little too long, but MLS is only 30 games and then playoffs it can be a bit complex with domestic player rules and a salary cap but if you need help let me know
phnompenhandy
How can Iceland have 18 games if there are 12 teams?
ScobieB
I think Romania has 34 games per season.
ScobieB
Oh and Mexico has even less. But the season is split into two. Hard to explain, but makes sense if you play it.
BenArsenal
How can Iceland have 18 games if there are 12 teams? Yeah. Should be 22. Singapore's League has 12 teams but they play each other 3 times.
joshpea4
Does Iceland have a cup competition? And are we including Asian or European matchs? If so then it has the potential to be longer than the Australian league, max Australian (including finals series and preseason) is 29 games + max ACL 12. But Iceland will win hands down next season, A-League will go to 27 game league + 6 team finals series (and no preseason cup )
Management
I just started in Sweden. Second Division (6 leagues) (Swedens 4th tier) and I have 22 matches + Swedish Cup (which I don't think I'll last too long in) Also Play-offs if need be.. First Divsion (north/south) has 24 games + Cup & Play-offs First Division Elite has 30 Games + Cup & Promotion Playoff Premier Division has 30 games + Cup + Europe But I'd say A-League
Innawerkz
Oh and Mexico has even less. But the season is split into two.Hard to explain, but makes sense if you play it. Mexico has 17 game seasons + Playoffs, but like Scobie said it's split in two - Apertura & Clausura. (Translated: Opening & Closing). Mixed into the season is: The Copa Libertadores: A tournament that involves all the top Central & South American teams. InterLiga: Tournament to decide which Mexican teams get into the Copa Libertadores SuperLiga: Tournament between the Mexican deivision & the MLS teams.
