Some Guy! Posted April 24, 2009 Share Posted April 24, 2009 UGH!!! Why?! 14 years managing Derby and finally I lost a competition in the final. The FA Cup, losing 5-4 on penalties to Arsenal. In fact, I think it was the first time I've lost to them in 3 years and the only loss in all competitions for the season. Oh well, had to happen eventually. In truth it's refreshing, to lose in the final that is. I've lost plenty of competitions in the game, but not in the final, well not in FM 2009. The League is now just becoming a training ground for my youngster's... Who once they're older then contribute massively to more domination! I have a 23 year old with about 130+ goals for me! A 26 year old with 450+ appearances! Though I see the rise of Arsenal coming again after that match. It happened in FM 2008 too, it just became domination. Then Reading of all teams came in and challenged (and boy did they challenge). They were about 6 points clear mid January when I got FM 2009. I was also out of the FA Cup and League Cup.
