Scouting competitions query

Alreet all,

The South Aerican U20 competiton is about to stat on my save and I want my send my scout to report on it, however I can not find an option to scout a competiton. Is the only way to send the scout to the country its being held in, and perhaps setting a filter to search for players who are at maxium 21 in age?

What team are you managing? Can you scout South America normally?

Boca, so yeah its the only place I can scout lol.

You can scout the whole of South America? Maybe it's being held in USA?

Scouting > Assignments > Highlight a scout > bottom right "Add New Assignment" > Assign To - Competition > International.

is the scout already scouting somewhere. because if the scout you have chosen for the competition is already scouting S.America for example then you cant select to scout anywhere else. if this is the case go on scouting assignments highlight where he is scouting and click remove. might not be happening for you but its an idea.

If the scout isn't doing something and the competition is local then you should be able to send a scout to it - may be worth logging as a bug.

I take it scouting next opponent would count against being able to scout a competition, though I can scout South American nations whilst scouting next opponent.

Yes, you can't scout next opponent and a competition/world (maybe region as well) with the same scout
