Adam Courtenay
Hi all I play FM09 on my mac (OSX 10.5.6) and it randomly crashes, locking up the whole system. My only option when this happens is to hold the power button down and restart the computer. I have not had this problem with any other application and there doesn't seem to be a pattern to this either - sometimes I can play for an hour+ and other times it may happen after 5 minutes. Has anybody else had this problem? I am running the latest 9.3.0 version of FM09 and it is a genuine copy. Many thanks Adam
J.Price
Wow. I've never had any problem with mine. Are you on a mac or a macbook? Could be due to overheating if it is the latter maybe. Thats all i can suggest, sorry.
SI Staff Ant Farley Posted April 16, 2009 SI Staff Share Posted April 16, 2009 Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game? You should delete the 'Sports Interactive' folders in the following locations: User > Library > Caches & User > Library > Preferences Before reinstalling and repatching the game. As for the game crashes locking up the whole system, are you unable to 'Force Quit' the game from the main 'Finder' toolbar, if you click the Apple logo in the top right hand corner there is an option to force individual applications to close, doing this shouldn't affect the rest of the system at all. Let me know how you get on.
