And, of course, Tactical Theorems and Frameworks '09, which I find I learn a ton from any time I re-read it, despite years of play and using T&TT from FM'05 through FM'09. So, even if you've read it before, when you've reached an "I have a goal, and I'm not quite hitting it" point, I really suggest going back through it.

you also need them to have good tactical knowledge because that will enable them to give you better in game feedback

Your welcome, Golaxi. Yeah, what mad mike said: Motivation and Man Management for team talks. I suspect also Discipline, but I'm not sure.

Tactical Knowledge definitely links to better in-game feedback.

I also like my assistant to have high Judging Ability and Judging Potential because that means that I have solid Coach Reports when I first open the coach report screen.

I use my coaches for their actual coaching ability, and choose an A.M. based on these six "soft skills".
