DanGLiverpool
.. in the game? (Sorry, couldn't fit the whole title in the title slot) Because it can't happen IRL, but if it wasn't hardcoded in the game, it would be cool to completely dominate the Spanish league with a 1-2 league finish, or you win the Champions League, and the B team wins the Europa Cup. Spleen!
Yes, it is in the game. Or it always used to be, not managed in Spain recently.
arsenal_2111
Yes, thats the rule. It's the same irl and in the game. B teams can't play in Cup competitions either, so they can't play in Europe.
DanGLiverpool
Aww, wanted to have some good old fashioned world domination with Barcelona, by buying awesome players, so much that my B team would be packed with La Liga quality players. Dale Gribble
Is it possible for Barcelona A to be relegated and Barcelona B to be promoted, so B are in the top division and A in the second? They would never be in the same league, but it wouldn't make much sense.
ssestig
No the B team would also be relegated even if they won the league.

No. If Barcelona A get relegated from the top division, then if Barcelona B are in the 2nd tier they automatically get relegated, no matter where they are in the table. DanGLiverpool
He meant that if Barcelona B got promoted to the Liga BBVA, in the same season as Barcelona A got relegated to the Liga Adelante, they would still be in different divisions, but that the B team would be higher than the A team. They can't be, the B team would get relegated to the Second Division B (or whatever its called officially).

Yeah, and that wouldn't be allowed. The B team would have to be lower than the A team, so the B team would automatially be relegated if the A team was relegated into the same league as them.
