Unrealistic transfer amounts

Recommended Posts

The newly written transfer code from SI is a massive improvement from the one we were used to, but it still has some major glitches in them.

For example. Fabregas transfered from Arsenal to AC Milan in 2010 for 60 million euros. In the three years he was active in Milan he played 10 matches and sat most of the time on the bench or was even left out of the squad. So its obvious that Cesc has been a crappy buy for Milan. He is taking up 350k euros a month in salary so actually he is a pain in the a** for Milan wouldnt you say?

But after played only 10 matches he was sold to Barcelona for 80 million euros!!

I mean, come on SI thats just plain unrealistic.

Why arent you writing a code which allows the value of the player being linked with performances? Cause in the normal world a player who hasent played for three seasons will see his value decrease instead of increase. In this case Milan would be happy to get rid of Cesc because he is taking up too much salary. Ok, the amount shouldnt decrease too much to lets say only 5 million. But at least let it drop below 30 million

So why not link transfer amounts with performances?

For example a talented striker plays a average of 7.70 en scores a whopping 35 goals in a season. His value at te start was 1.1 million but because of the great season he had his value increases to 10 million.

Now you see talented players who dont even play 1 single match see their value increase to a ridiculous amount.

again how hard can it be to only link value with perfomances?

I do think this is right.

You see in reality players getting hugely inflated transfer prices despite not being great overall but just because they have had a good season.

One example that springs to mind is Kenweyne Jones, at the start of this season Spurs put in a £15 million bid for him because he had a great season last year, he is not worth that much but his good performances made him desirable.
