That's a really good deal and will make FM 2008 and 2009 etc run perfectly. Don't forget though, it won't be any good for more graphic intensive games.

I'm sure it's just for FM anyway icon_smile.gif

SO, if it's possible to remove some of that 'shared graphics RAM' to some extent (in the Bios?) then that will help too, as that can eat up some of the RAM used by FM.

Should run fine, also a tip as well get yourself a usb memory stick, i have a 4gb one (£18) and on vista it uses 3gb of it for memory via readyboost as well.

I got This one and it runs fm like a dream icon_biggrin.gif </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Could you explain what this readyboost and usb stuff is about please? I've got an old crapp laptop, so anything I can do to make it better (cheaply) would be good to know! Cheers.

A USB port is one of those specifically-shaped holes in the back of a computer that you plug things in. Modems and webcams tend to use USB ports, and of course memory sticks.

I know what a usb port and a usb stick are, but I don't understand what 2BitCharlie posted about readyboost and using the memory of the usb stick.
