Fm.exe problems

Ive had FM09 since the day it came out but all of a sudden it has started playing up. Everytime i click on it to play it a message comes up at the bottom of my screen which says fm.exe is corrupt and unreadable try using the chk dsk utility but that does nothing.

Then everything before the main menu loads up but i cant load any of my save games it gets half way through and says the save game cannot be loaded and when i try and start a new game i can load up the game database but it crashes on setting up game database and a message comes up saying a serious error has occured and the program will have to close. Ive unistalled it but that makes no difference. I dont understand what could be wrong and i would be really grateful for any help.
