Raware
I don't know if anyone else has the same problem, but whenever the cup draw is due, i always seem to be inevitably drawn away from home. I was wondering how the draw is coded into the game, is it just random? Just bad luck i guess but it would be nice to sometimes have a home tie. LeoVieira
It might be bad luck. Unless it happens every season.
Raware
It doesn't happen every season but more often that not it happens a lot of seasons. Which is why it got me wondering about how the cup draws are coded. Just bad luck then i guess. I'm sure it's just a random draw but nevertheless, how many more times can i be 'randomly' drawn away from home?
Hazzydeepy
Well I have never actually known how 'random' the cup draws are in FM. I am sure it is randomised, so your frequent away draws would point to bad luck. But when you have as many as you do - it sounds like it is almost a bug. Management
Would there be a stipulation where your ground may not meet specifications for the cup? or am I just fishing here...
stinger061
I'd say it's just unlucky. I've found myself getting drawn at home probably more often than not recently
Raware
Would there be a stipulation where your ground may not meet specifications for the cup?or am I just fishing here... Unfortunately, you're just fishing! The grounds of the various clubs i've managed at were all up to the specific specification as far as i know. I guess i'll just have to put it down to consitent bad luck in the cup draws then. On the plus side, the law of averages must state i'll be due a lot of home draws in the future?! likesiamesefish
i can see home draws there...?
BenArsenal
I think Chelsea got all home draws in the FA Cup a couple of seasons ago.
Raware
i can see home draws there...? You can indeed, but out of the 23 cup ties shown, 3 are home, 2 are at a neutral ground (in which my team were named second e.g. Coleraine v LURGAN CELTIC, which in my experiences feel like you're the away team) and 18 are away ties. So, 3 home ties out of 23 isn't too bad is what you're saying?

Raware
yes that's exactly what i'm saying, it's just your tactics is all. What? What has my tactics and the randomisation of cup draws got to do with each other?

Raware
No wonder you have two infractions when you're posting drivel like that.
madmike
To be honest i seem to get a hell of a lot of home draws. I would say about 75% over three seasons with Montrose. I think it is just luck though
Deadmaninc21
I don't have this aswell, just bad luck i guess. I do have a problem of drawing a premier league club every time. im blackpool
Neilio
Of my last 24 cup draws, 17 home....
tcoleman1
i always seem to get drawn away. its quite frustrating. if i am a big club e.g. chelsea i will always get drawn away at premiership oppo and united, arsenal, liverpool get home draws against weak sides. My prediction for the future is that you'll get roughly even splits between home and away from this point on.
FraserHFC
Purely luck Last season the majority of my cup games (roughly 75%) were at home, this season however, every single tie has been away from home. Just the way it goes.
