For some reason confidence always seems to go back to this at the start of every new season, I would ignore it and just get on with your job. If you are getting good results you will keep your job. It does not appear to have anything to do with pre-season position, as I have managed several teams, all over the alphabet, and regardless of achievements and confidence, at the start of the season, you are automatically displayed as "under-pressure manager."
