ottey_swe
it's always a matter of getting 90 points plus, rather than the more realistic, real-life 80 points plus. Makes it unrealistically hard to win the league I think. Last season IRL was like Man Utd 89p Chelsea 85p Arsenal 83p In the game, though, Chelsea always have scraped 91-97p together last 4 seasons. I came second with 89p on one occation. Obviuosly the problem was bigger in 9.1 with Arsenal around, but it still needs a minor tune I think. This goes for the spanish league as well. The winner ALWAYS has something like 95-98 points. Anyone agree?
Les Girondins
This seems to be an issue in most leagues I have played in. The top four teams regularly seem to go unbeaten for extended periods and its not unusual to see 100+ points on the board .. It doesnt always happen, and seems to stop happening quite so much when your own team starts to improve and you get draws or wins that dent the 'on a roll' code for 'form' teams, but it can be irritating. R-dizzle
Top 6 usually have around 60+ points, top 3 often in the 70 and the winner pushes top 80 for me usually. When arsenal dominated they were usually always at 90 with the team in 2nd at 70. Now im in the league and 9.03 kicked in Man Utd are dominating, but thats cause their youth have now grown into amazing players. Its more realistic since 9.03 I think. They have won all 4 seasons with 90+ as i mentioned. Maybe it's different from save to save but i find it very annoying, bearing the last ten irl-seasons in mind. I mean, even when Arsenal went a whole season unbeaten, which is a fasntastic season, they still "just" managed 90 points. 90 points should be some sort of realistic limit. Not a scripted limit of course, but teams should fins it harder to get there! as it is now it's a routine for the Premier League winner.
Air4life
I haven't played a full season since the new update but do fully agree its way to difficult to win the pl. I ended up 5th with 82points, tough tough tough!
R-dizzle
To be fair, winning the league isn't easy anyway but i've noticed the good teams are really good and the bad teams are really bad.. bottom 6/7 teams struggle to make over 25 points where in real life they're usually in the early 40s. supersaint
2008/2009: 96 - Arsenal 2009/2010: 92 - Man Utd 2010/2011: 84 - Arsenal 2011/2012: 82 - Arsenal 2012/2013: 87 - Arsenal 2013/2014: 82 - Man Utd 2014/2015: 82 - Arsenal 2015/2016: 80 - Arsenal 2016/2017: 86 - Arsenal 2017/2018: 79 - Arsenal 2018/2019: 83 - Man City 2019/2020: 78 - Arsenal 2020/2021: 78 - Chelsea 2021/2022: 81 - Arsenal 2022/2023: 78 - Man City 2023/2024: 75 - Newcastle 2024/2025: 75 - Arsenal 2025/2026: 92 - Arsenal 2026/2027: 79 - Man City 2027/2028: 83 - Tottenham 2028/2029: 91 - Arsenal 2029/2030: 74 - Tottenham 2030/2031: 76 - Bolton 2031/2032: 72 - Man City 2032/2033: 80 - Solihull Moors 2033/2034: 95 - Solihull Moors 2034/2035: 85 - Solihull Moors 2035/2036: 89 - Arsenal 2036/2037: 85 - Solihull Moors 2037/2038: 81 - Solihull Moors 2038/2039: 25 matches played, Solihull Moors leading - 71 points 5 times in 30 completed season have the champions had over 90 points. Dont seem too unrealistic to me.. When it comes to relegation, I dont know what is realistic, but the lowest points needed to stay up was 28 and the highest 48. Usually the team who stays up have something in the lower 30s.
Jops14
buggar me how good are they!!!!! Um, in mine ive had no problems whatsoever, think o0nly once has the winner needed 90 points to win, i had one season where the top 3 all got 81 points. Generally to me it seems to be 81-87 for a win.
James_W
I just pipped United on goal difference for the title with 91 points. However, 3rd place Chelsea only had 79.
golfpunk
08/09 - Man Utd 85 pts 09/10 - Liverpool 91 pts 10/11 - Arsenal 81 pts 11/12 - Arsenal 86 pts 12/13 - Arsenal 95 pts 13/14 - Man City 90 pts This is on 9.3.0....as you can see it's quite a mixed bag of points for winning the EPL. Only the 2012/13 season is the one that stands out with your theory. So I disagree with the OP.
VonBlade
Tough to call this one because I'm Spurs, so I'll give the top two of my early seasons. 08 Man U 90 - Chelsea 85 09 Spurs 89 - Liverpool 81 10 Spurs 102 - Arsenal 81 11 Spurs 99 - Liverpool 73 12 Spurs 106 - Man City 75 13 Spurs 103 - Man City 72 14 Spurs 112 - Man City 88 15 Spurs 107 - Man City 78 It pretty much continues like that. So if you pretend I'm the real Spurs and so give the guys in second another 6 points, it's still not ridiculous. The La Liga winner usually gets 90+, in 2011 both Real and Barca got 89 Ligue 1 is around 80 to win, although Lyon have broken 90 a couple of times. Serie A about 90 too. 94 is the highest. The Bundesliga has seen Leverkusen win with a score of 80+ every season. Although it's only a 18 team league. So perhaps it's a little higher than normal. And you don't often get the real-life situation with a huge bunch of teams flying up and down the table (still reputation affects the game too much). Magic? edit: last Spurs game I did was FM08 (only just stopped playing it) I got 100 points once in 15 seasons (102 I think). For the most part Citeh were getting 90+ every season so I was at war with them more or less making it impossible to get 100 consistantly.
VonBlade
Nah it's amazing the difference having players suited to your system makes. Both my midfielders are "sitters" and break up almost everything, whilst my wingers and strikers are brutally fast on the counter. Keep your defenders deep to avoid getting beaten by balls over the top and that's that. Almost can't go wrong.
stuboy
last 2 seasons with me Inter have got over 100 and 101 pts, last year unbeaten, so far this season Milan are 12 wins out of 12. Think these are the only full seasons i have done with the latest patch
