Create a Striker - Sign up

First of all this is my first sign up so any helpful comments and suggestions along the way are welcomed.

Everybody wants to be a top striker so here’s your chance. I’m looking for 20 people to sign up and create that monster goal scorer. I will do updates with any transfer news in September and February followed by a comprehensive one in June.

You have 10 attributes you can select at 20, the rest will be random. These need to be split between technical, physical, mental and personal attributes. All players will have 20 for Sriker as position and same date of birth (31/05/1991). The player must start at one of the clubs listed below, they will start with 100 CA and 200 PA. Reputation will be 50 for all levels. The clubs listed have been selected randomly and they will not be edited in any way. You can select any of the clubs, even if someone else has chosen them. I will have other leagues running but they have not been decided yet. There is going to be a points system to make it a bit of a competition and hopefully keep the banter going.

Scoring is:-

1pt for league & cup goals

2pts per continental goal

3pts per full international goal

3pts if your team get promoted* (must be there at the end of the season)

5pts for winning a lower league title* (must play min of 10 games for club)

10pts for any minor cup* (CWC, super cups, any lower league cups)

15pts for winning a top flight league title* (must play min of 10 games for club)

20pts for any major cup* (international trophies, national cup and any continental trophy apart from super cup)

10pts for 3rd in European golden boot

15pts for 2nd in European golden boot

25pts for winning European golden boot

30pts for winning European striker of the year

50pts for winning world player of the year or European player of the year

*obviously if your player moves to an inactive league there is no way to track some of these points.

There are some deductable offences. I want a good clean fight with winners and nobody likes a quitter so the following applies:-

-5 for every red card

-25 if your team is relegated (must be there at end of season)

-50 if your player retires first

It wouldn't make sense if I have pace and acceleration 20 with 140kg. You would need to build a hospital in the North stand because a lot of players will need it when they get hit by a 20 acceleration 140kg player.

And so the season begins. There has been an unbelievable number of young strikers come through the ranks throughout Europe this year. The surprising aspect is the level of club they are playing for with many experts saying they will not be able to keep hold of them for long.

There is excitement in league 2 as Accrington and Aldershot between them unveil four of the leagues hottest talents in recent years. Andrew Jackson and Joshua Legg are expected to take the league by storm for Accrington. They may not have things all their own way in the goal scoring charts however as Aldershot have Liam Ferguson and Owen Meek in their ranks and not forgetting Tom Hamiltion a much disputed Wycombe signing, who was first reported to have penned a contract at Aldershot. We may not hear the last of this one.

Across the border in Scotland, East Stirling announce Charles Beams has agreed a 3yr contract with the club.

On the continent, Emden and Wuppertal of German 3rd Division have stated Mathias Brunckhorst and Edward Nelson will lead their front line.

Spal of C1/a in Italy are expected big things of Lucas Volman and Havo Bigabelli. Fans of the club say promotion is a certainty with such a potentially potent strike force.

In Spain Marino of 2nd Division B1 say they plan to hold on to Guillermo Delgardo for many years. It is a similar story for 2nd Division B2 side Lanzarote who say £130,000 valued striker Cristobal Blanco will cost a lot more for anyone trying to pry him away from Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote.

The biggest shock is two amateur sides signing players destined for the top. RC Gent of Belgium say although James “Pinky” Pinkham is only on a one year contract they hope to keep him longer. Finally Skjold of the lower Danish leagues have been trying to keep quiet about Circus Carnie in the hope he will not be tempted back to his native Argentina by a much bigger club.

A slight amendment has been made in the French league. As no-one chose any of the listed teams I have just chosen the top league. Other leagues running are Argentina, Greece, Holland, Switzerland, Portugal and Ukraine.

There is no transfer budget at the start so next update will be for February 1st.
