In the preferences of the shortcut, try adding --reset_preferences in the target field. I'm not sure if it will work, but give it a go. If it does fix the problem, you should delete it otherwise your preferences will be reset every time you launch the game.

Hope that works for you :D:thup:

How should it look?!

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\fm.exe" --from_media_center=true -mce

is how it looks now tell me fast as hell :p

It should look like:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\fm.exe" --reset_preferences

i think. If it doesn't work, post back and i will try and sort this out. I have never come across this before, seems to be an unusual error

i take it your using vista..... make sure your running fm as administrator

i.e right click, run as admin

and make sure you update your video card drivers aswell.. as that error seems to be video related

also...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\fm.exe" --from_media_center=true -mce

none of that should really be there ... ie... --from_media_center=true -mce

should be deleted..
