Manager reputation question

Here's how I thought manager reputation works when you apply for a job:

When you apply for a job, your reputation is compared to the clubs reputation. If it's a club in your home country, an average of home rep and current rep is used; if it's a club in another country an average of world rep and current rep is used.

If your reputation is greater than the clubs reputation, you will get the job offered, unless an AI manager with even higher reputation wants the job.

However, I recently applied for at job at a BSP club, and didn't get it. Then I used FMM to compare my reputation with the reoutation of the AI manager who got the job.

Seing that he was English and I'm Danish, he has the advantage of using home rep and current rep, while I use world rep and current rep, but his home rep/current rep average was lower than my world rep/current rep average. Still, I didn't get the job, he did.

Somebody please tell me where I went wrong :-)
