What are some good ways to raise morale?

Appropriate use of the "Recent Form (External)" function via the "Player Interaction" menu.

When a player has been performing poorly, criticism of his poor form might actually raise his morale by leaps and bounds and increase the chances of him putting in a much better performance the next match round. Do note though that if your criticism is too harsh or not harsh enough, decided by your player's personality, it may result in a backfire and the player sulking even more.

A useful tip would be to make notes detailing your previous interactions with your players and which of them are positively affected by praise/criticism and which are not. This way, you could refer to the notes when you next intend to praise/criticise a particular player.

Like Ediocy said, pariase them when its justified. A good win increases morale, signing a good player also helps. Does anyone know if you offer a player a new contract and he accepts that his morale goes up?

Quite often it will yes

I always find that when starting a news eason or with a new club offering new contracts to your best players boosts morale. Also tutoring will lift morale if it is approved of by both players.
