auberius Posted March 18, 2009 Share Posted March 18, 2009 I just turned July 1st in 2017, having just agreed a major signing (£45m for a 21-yr-old German wonderstriker) and thinking that was why the game was taking its time. Was somewhat annoyed that the date turned over to June 2nd before the game stopped processing, but that turned to positive rage when I discovered that Steve Wigley (my assistant manager for the last five years) had been approached for a job on July 1st and accepted it on July 2nd. The job? Having been assistant manager of Leicester City (newly crowned Premiership champions), he took a job as a coach at Vfl Bochum (just finished 15th in the Bundesliga!) I don't particularly want to cheat and go back to the last save point, but I do feel like the game should have given me the chance to respond (I had just gotten a new contract and he deserved one) rather than whipping him away from under me!
